Pupils were engaged in The Green Wave - Tree Planting Ceremony that took place on 21st may 2010, Friday. It creates an awareness of the conservation status of Belinjau, pupils will appreciate the importance of biodiversity and uses (medicinal/functional) of endangered plant species. Belinjau is categorized as one of the critically endangered plant species in the Singapore Red Data Book.

Venue: School Eco-Garden Programme: 10.00 am : Arrival of Guest of Honour 10.00 to 10.15 am: Gallery walk (Science Corner) Viewing of exhibition booths - biodiversity posters - environmental game-booths 10.15 to 10.25 am: Tree Planting Ceremony - GOH, Principal & Vice-Principal - Watering of tree (Representatives from 5Happy) 10.25 to 10.30 am : Presentation of souvenir to GOH
Pre-activities: Pupils to research on conservation status of trees from “Singapore Red Data Book: Threatened Plants & Animals of Singapore”, which contains a list of the threatened native species of plants & animals in Singapore.
Post-activities: Exhibition - Showcasing related school projects (biodiversity posters) during Open House. Games & competitions – Pupils to set up interactive game booths incorporating eco-friendly, biodiversity related messages during Environmental Studies lessons.
