Be My Buddy Programme

This year of the buddy system worked extremely well. As well as benefiting the Primary One pupils,

the system has also helped to develop attitudes and values of responsibility, tolerance and sensitivity

amongst the Primary 3 pupils. The buddy programme have also made acomprehensive step towards

further and more extensively putting into effect our school's aims, especially providing a caring

environment for children.

To evaluate how successful the buddy system had been with our Primary 3 Pupils, a perception

survey and a reflection template was created. The response was overwhelming. There were many

heartwarming responses that were delightful to read.

Erik from 3 Energetic said that he has learnt to take care of buddies younger than him. He also felt that

all Primary 3 pupils are to lead the Primary 1 pupils by example.

Nur Syahirah from 3 Dynamic felt that she has to learned how to take care of her siblings at home too because

of this programme. She has learnt how to be a responsible pupil. She was happy that she had the opportunity

to tour her Primary 1 buddy around the school.

Many pictures were taken and they expressed feelings of nervousness, apprehension and loneliness coupled with

excitement and anticipation of our Primary 1 pupils and we must say that our Primary 3 pupils indeed made a

impressive mark in helping our Primary 1 pupils settle in our West View Family happily.

Thank You Primary 3 pupils!
