P3 pupils will undergo a 6-week course whereby they will learn the basics of cornet playing. Pupils will work on the relevant mouth muscles in order to produce a good tone. Music theory, including chords and scales will also be taught. Outstanding pupils who demonstrate interest and ability to play the cornet well will be asked to join the school band.
