A is for ART Project 2011 – Silver Award

The A is for ART project was jointly organized by the Asian Civilisations Museum and Singapore Teachers’ Academy for the ARTS (STAR). The judging criterion was based heavily on the project’s processes. Pupils were required to go through four art challenges based on artefacts found in Asian Civilisation Museum. These object-based learning lessons allowed pupils to be imaginative, creative and reflective. The pupils’ drawings were then put up to form an Art Wall and selected pupils’ work were transferred onto the elephant canvas. A total of 483 pupils from P1 to P6 took part in the project. It was a great learning journey for the pupils as well as all the teachers who were involved
